My Story

As a child growing up on island, Jamaica countryside was a very nostalgic exciting experience ! Why ? Because Grandma Rosetta house was like living in a “Food Oasis”. The alkaline soil, unlimited tropical fruits, vegetables, ground provisions, beans, herbs and spices to pick or choose from. Jamaica sitting just north of the Equator, the sun was always burning hot and as a child it was always adventurous to be contact with nature ( Grounding ) playing all day barefoot in the red-burgundy color soil.

Sustainability

My Grandmother Rosetta is a Farmer who regularly used chicken or cow manure along with fruit and vegetables scraps to help increase soil fertility, a technique used for over nine (9) decades, passed on from my GreatGrand Father, a Farmer from St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. When its time for the plants to grow and bear fruits, its always a blessing to see the variety of abundance and high availability of fresh produce to pick and choose from.
